Ridiculous make up haul

This is the haul that put me on a make up spending ban. Okay so it isn’t as bad as it looks, a few of these items are from swapping on depop (an app for make up/clothes where you can either buy or swap an item for one of your own) but some are the result of a few boots trips and debenhams buys. I picked up three new mac lipsticks in creme cup angel and kinda sexy. Creme cup and angel are quite similar so I wouldn’t say you need them both in your life they just have different finishes. Kinda sexy isn’t my type of colour the swatches I searched for online looked a lot different to how it came, so I am going to have to sell this!

I picked up 3 revlon lip butters in the shades cotton candy, tutti frutti and sweet tart, I love the feeling of these on the lips, and the nice hint of colour they leave, there so soft and aren’t as sheer as I thought they were going to be I really enjoy using them. Revlon had an offer on in Boots for 2 products for £10 so I chucked their new mascara release lash potion in to my basket and one of there colour burst lip glosses in adorned a gorgeous vibrant bright pink. Also from revlon which I really don’t like is one of their suade lipsticks in socialite, the consistency is horrible and dry, and the colour isn’t all that great either I don’t think I will be picking up any more of these to try out. Last 2 lip product’s from Revlon (because I obviously didn’t pick up enough) was a lipstick in the shade pink in the afternoon a dusky pink colour which reminds me of a cheaper alternative to macs lovelorn and a kissable lip stain in the shade rendezvous a lovely coral colour which leaves a sheer tint on your lips.

Next on to Maybelline I picked up one of there famous baby lips in a swap and can’t remember the shade and as I haven’t opened it yet I can’t tell you my thoughts, but the packaging is really cute and they are meant to smell amazing. I have seen a few rave reviews on the Maybelline BB cream so I picked up the one for oily skin to try out and will be writing up a review of what I think of it soon, as I am yet to decide! Having 8 unopened mascaras already I’m not quite sure why I picked up yet again another mascara, but because of the reviews and a 3 for 2 deal on Maybelline thats what I did, picked up their newish mega plush mascara but I am yet to open this and its been put in my mascara over flow draw so I will let you know my thoughts on that when I use it. The last product from Maybelline that caught my eye was the anti age eraser eye concealer and I am really enjoying having this in my make up routine at the moment, I feel I look more awake and refreshed when using this and I have used up quite a bit already!

The last make up item apart from my 2 estee lauder freebies I picked up was a seventeen lip crayon in the colour knock out a darky pink purply plum colour *Im so good at explaining colours* and I was actually pleasantly surprised and I really like it. The consistency is the exact same as all the other lip crayons I own and the colour is lovely, I really want to try some more from the range now! I jumped on the bandwagon and picked up the new estee lauder advanced night serum, I used to use the old one and enjoyed using it so since they re formulated it and apparently made it even better than the original I thought I would give it another go. At the time I bought the serum they were giving you a mini mascara and lipstick with every purchase, I wasn’t a massive fan of the colour of the lipsticks on offer but it was free so I can’t really complain!

No more spending on make up.

I actually bought/swapped a lot of this a month ago and haven’t spent any money on make up in a whole month and I am super proud of myself, I am trying to keep it up as I really don’t need any more make up/skin care or even hair care at the moment, and I would rather save my money for future!! I also have a job now in Sainsbury’s, super early starts at 5am which are going to kill me as I have Josh to come home to and won’t be able to nap!!

Hope you enjoyed my last haul for a while (like that will ever be true!)
