On saturday the 15th of November I was lucky enough to be invited to the celtic manor for a lovely festive afternoon tea, and to learn all about the celtic manors new blog (which you should all take a look at as they have worked very hard on it and would love your input!) So off I set with the lovely Ellie and we made our way up to the celtic manor courtosy of her lovely boyfriend driving us. As soon as we arrived we were introduced to everyone and offered a drink of whatever we liked, we sat down and waited the arrival of everyone else and then made our way into a lovely room fully decorated beautifully in the theme of christmas, a beautiful christmas tree and a table set to host a christmas day lunch, with crackers all ready to pull.
We got offered champagne on arrival, our choice of lots of flavoured teas and our very own glass of pimms! If that wasn’t enough we also got to taste the lovely delights of afternoon tea they had to offer and boy did they spoil us! The selection was incredible from sandwiches filled with the likes of caerphilly cheese, cucumber with mint and lemon creme fraiche and roast turkey, to hand made cakes and pastries including white chocolate christmas pudding truffle (by far my favourite it was amazing) pistachio marzipan cones and beautifully made mince pies. Lastly we were given candied citrus peel and gingerbread spiced scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve which toped off the afternoon tea brilliantly.
During our afternoon tea we got spoken to by the lovely girls india and Jess all about the new blog they have set up all on the celtic manor and by Karl there lovely chef who is the master chef down to making all the beautiful treats we were treated to. I had such a lovely time at this event, as me and Ellie aren’t used to going to many events we were treated so well, and everyone was so lovely and welcoming and I am so glad we had the opportunity to be invited. I also loved meeting India as we have been friends on Facebook for a good 5/6 years so it was lovely finally meeting her and having a little chat and catch up, and I can’t wait to hopefully see her soon and attend a few more events together!
Overall the experience was lovely and I would highly recommend visiting the celtic manor if you have the chance, the people are lovely and the food is incredible, its in such a lovely place the views are beautiful and I would 100% recommend booking in now for the festive afternoon tea as we all had a brilliant time and I will be going back with my mum in the future as a treat!
